Each pattern in this new mini set,  may be repositioned on the large, mini staff or display panels. Place the rhythm motives below staff to guide notation of melodies.

In arranging STEM NOTATION and RHYTHM CARDS, students begin to invent their own melodies and realize the features of unity, variety and contrast in musical form. Combine two or more patterns as a unifying motive (or as a basis) for improvisation and composition.

For extensive development of rhythm patterns, order Note Panels with Fabric Backing.  A portable base for constructing rhythms would be the Display Platform (VP) and the Mini 24 Multi  (M24Mul). Combine with sol-fa letters to generate melodies.
